Ten

She had sad eyes. Sad eyes.
She hid them quite well
But he knew her face
With one look he could tell
She had sad eyes holding tears
The tears started to swell
One dropped on her cheek
She whispered, "I feel weak"
He replied, "Child, Its okay
Sometimes we all feel that way"
And she laughed - slow and pained
He could tell her happiness was feigned
Then she looked up with her sad eyes
And quietly said, "Everyone I love...
...dies"

Nine

There is a future beyond this place
of shot glasses and skipped classes
of weed in the halls from ripped waterfalls
of asshole guys and gaps between thighs
of heels and blisters, copped feels and whistlers
of street fights and crazy nights
of domeless nails and tared scales
of dabheads and unfamiliar beds
of drop outs and lip pouts
 lost souls
 forgotten goals
blunt wraps
"I'd tap that"
zeds dead
black and red
gpen
peace love zen
Take me back to the time when
we were just innocent children
watching the clouds in the sky
never thinking of getting high
But were older now, you see
And we were taught by Lucy
that there are diamonds in the air
and you can try them if you dare
So embrace these crazy college years
rid yourself of all your fears
and try to make these moments last
soon these moments will just be the past
so join me and raise a drink
to all the foolish people who think
we're ruining our lives with alcohol and weed
can't wait to watch them watch us succeed

Eight

drugged out child, lying in her bed
X's on her hand and a pounding in her head
everyone remembers everything that she does not
a hangover and pictures are the only things she's got
so close your eyes child, you've had a long night
wake up tomorrow morning, everything will seem alright
